Regional Steel Products, Inc. (“Regional Steel”) was founded and incorporated in 1981 by the owners of a fabrication and machine shop to service steel and aluminum products primarily to the South Texas oilfield fabrication, metal and petrochemical manufacturing and construction industries in and around Victoria, Texas. Elton E. Calhoun, Jr., an owner in Regional Steel, was named President in 1983.
In 1986, Elton purchased the remaining interest in Regional Steel becoming the sole owner and operator. At this time, the company moved to its current office, warehouse and service facility on U.S. Highway 87 South in Victoria.
Regional Steel Products, Inc boasts a 42,000 sq. foot warehouse on a 20 acre paved lot that allows us to provide fast and uninterrupted service, even in the most inclement of weather. We have a comprehensive in-door racking system and a full service fleet that delivers dependable and reliable access to our inventory which is one of the largest product lines of carbon and stainless steel, aluminum products and other specialty items and exotic alloys in South Central Texas.
Our employees work daily to achieve our vision of becoming a recognized leader in the steel distribution industry and the first-choice provider of metal products in South-Central Texas. Regional Steel Products Inc. focuses on developing relationships based on trust with our vendors, customers, and employees alike.

Over the past 40 years, Elton Calhoun has led Regional Steel to be a major competitor in the South Central Texas region focusing on a wide selection of quality products, on-time deliveries, and excellent customer service. Elton built a workplace based on honesty and integrity and attributes the company’s success to the commitment and reliability of his employees, some of whom have been with Regional Steel from the beginning and are still valuable team members today. Elton Calhoun left a legacy of loyalty, wisdom, honesty, and integrity in business and in community and an unwavering commitment to impact people and organizations. The family of Elton Calhoun and the staff of Regional Steel look forward to honoring Elton’s legacy by continuing to operate Regional Steel with the same long-standing foundation on which it was built, conducting business with integrity and providing exceptional customer service. Regional Steel is still owned and operated by the family of Elton Calhoun. The current President is Elton’s daughter, Sherry McShaffry.
